        What is a business meeting?          


A business meeting is an event and a gathering of two or more of people, to discuss things that concerned a company business. A business meeting can be inside a company or online, when participiants can join to the the meeting from anywhere.


The purpose of business meeting is to make decisions regarding the company or the organization. Sometimes about departmental issues, a larger organization matter, or about an emergency case.


Agenda is an important thing in business meetings. It is not wrong to tell participiants that they need it to write their topics and ideas.

      Types of business meeting:

There is many types of business meeting (more than five). Business meetings can be daily or weekly. The taxonomies types of business meeting are; Congenial Meetings, Formal Meetings and Intense Meeting.

2) Decision-Making Meetings.

3) Problem-solving Meetings.

4) Team-building Meetings.

5) Idea-sharing Meetings.

6) Innovation Meetings.

      How to conduct a business meeting effectively?

1) Introductions:

Before everything the first thing you do in a business meeting is introducing yourself.

  . I would like to introduce myself....

  . Let me introduce myself to you....

2) Stating the objectives:

  . We are here today to discuss...(topic)

  . I would like to make sure that we...

  . Our main aim today is to discuss...etc.

3) Introducing the AGENDA:

  . Have you all received a copy of the agenda?

  . Shall we take the points in this order? 

  . If you do not mind, i would like to go in order today.

  . There are x items on the agenda.

4) Introducing the next Item:

  . Let's move on the next Item.

  . We can now move on to...

  . The next Item on our list is ...

  . Shall we continue?
